Always good, always fresh, always packed, always worth the effort! In this era of old school Charlotte restaurants disappearing left and right Lang Van has held on and hopefully will for a long time.

We need to talk about how this might be the best restaurant in Charlotte. Look - the food is great. Fantastic cuisine. Amazing stuff. I highly recommend that you explore the menu. But the service is magical. There's no other way to put it.

Absolutely amazing service and the coziest ambiance! I don't think my water cup went half empty before getting refilled. Food came out super quickly and was fresh and hot as well. Loved my meal- never had anything quite like it before.

Loved the food here! Service is very tentative and quick, always refilling waters nearly after every sip. Food came out fast. Sunday at 6pm we were seated right away and by the time we were leaving there was a wait by the door for a table. #52 Bun Thit Nuong was delicious! Will be going back to try more Large parking lot, hard to maneuver with cars going in and out but is manageable. Check delivered to your table and you pay at the counter

The food is excellent and the people here are the best part of the experience. The menu is very busy but you can simplify it by understanding many of the options are the same and have the protein modified. This is my goto spot for Vietnamese food. The coffee is excellent and a crowd pleaser. Keep coming and they will have it ready the moment you walk through the door. The prices are on the higher side but this is normal in this economy and not the exception. You could easily spend $100 with three people, don't let the appearance of a small spot make you think there are in expensive deals. You get quality food with great service for a fair price. I have eaten only a handful of items on the menu but my favorite are the wide noodles with a smoky flavor. The chicken, pork, and shrimp have all been excellent. There is additional parking in the back and it is hard to get in, you need to head north and make a right as you can't get in from across the street. If you haven't eaten here get this off your CLT bucket list. If you see me you are welcome to say hello, if I am alone you are welcome to join me.

My family had multiple sets of Vietnamese friends growing up. Lang Van's food is the closest to what I ate at their houses. Today, I had the broken rice with chargrilled pork and summer rolls. As usual everything was delicious. Next time I'll request extra sauce with the broken rice. While I never dine-in, the staff are always warm and happy and the spot is always buzzing.

This place has been in my radar for years and finally got to go. My first impression driving up was it looks like a hole in the wall. But, usually a hole in the wall has the best food and that is exactly what we got. I took my parents and from the moment we entered the wait staff was so accommodating, addressing my parents as mommy and daddy. Loved it. My father is wheelchair bound and it was easy access for him to get in minus one little ledge. We started with the spring rolls and pancake, both were fresh and crispy. The pancake was served with lettuce and fresh mint, cilantro, and Thai basil. Roll one up with some sweet dipping sauce and enjoy. We also ordered the curry squid and rice noodles with tofu. I will dream about the tofu noodles for a long time. So savory. Definitely a must try. I wish this place was closer because I would eat there every day.

I love coming to this place. The service is fast, the servers are very, very friendly with great hospitality. They have a menu full of different options - chicken, tofu, pho, noodles, rolls. The environment is small and intimate but there's still enough space for each table to have privacy. The decor is dedicated to Vietnamese culture. I've been coming here for over 10 years and the experience is always the same. Forever one of my favorite restaurants.

This is an all around 5 star Charlotte staple. An absolute must! A quaint restaurant with a friendly, attentive and helpful staff, offering an expansive menu of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Chicken, pork, shrimp and vegan dishes up and down the menu. We tried a few different dishes: curry, potato pancake, make-your-own spring rolls and squid garlic sauce. It all was so delicious. The ONLY downside is parking. It's a small lot and with as busy as Lang Van gets, sometimes it can be difficult to find a spot. But circle the lot a few times or park down the street because this place is worth it!
